I assume that's why Burks pushed his announcement back to Monday. Looks like Kentucky's trying to package the "good news" after the last of last year's players leaves.

All the posts concerning our lack of players leads to how did UK arrive at this dilemma?? Probably no clear cut answer but ultimately it all starts and ends with the head coach.

Last year was a total disaster off the court and none of them wanted to come back into the miasma, particularly when Cal started wearing t-shirts touting the recruiting class. You come back and risk another horrible year *and* you have to possibly play behind five-star phenoms under a coach who has historically given five-star phenoms tons of leash?

Tough sell.

I hope so. It’d be a great time for a number of reasons, including the fact that the ‘24 class is even worse than this one, and Cal has only made inroads with a couple decent players, thus far.

If this is how he’s going to perform in the portal, and the pickings are slim in the next class, I really don’t even want to think about what another Cal team could look like.
