I've started to use that "For You" thing on Twitter so I'm seeing a bunch of people I don't follow on there. A bunch of them are like this.

They're terrible. They're basically like crazzed was on here but in the opposite way. It's just people trying to make folks feel like everything is okay; I'm positive even they don't believe what they're posting.

You see really negative people do the same thing a lot and it's just as bad with them. Worse when the team is playing well and you've got some a-hole over here trying to convince you that we suck.

I agree with everything you say. I visit Twitter multiple times daily and there's some pretty ridiculous people, concerning UK MBB, that post on there. If one didn't know better, by reading their Tweets, you'd think the program is in fine shape.

Me too. Just saying there was a lot of mystery with both, as there often is with lower-ranked guys who weren't AAU darlings.

Burks is a stranger case because he went to OTE. Best-case scenario for UK is that he's one of these players who was just an okay high school player (relative to the highest echelon of players) but really blew up when he hit 18 or 19. You see that sometimes although it's fairly rare.

Apparently, the whole "Reeves is in the Illinois State student directory" thing is irrelevant, seeing as how there are also ISU players from 15 years ago still in the directory.

I can't imagine there'd be that many diehard Cal supporters left in the fanbase.

I mentioned above that he might've been a little premature in saying that had we been able to land Kaluma, Burks, the big guy, and maybe another...but of course we struck out in the portal again. Whether that's because of "disarray" or something else--or a combination of things--I don't know.

What we're seeing from Cal this off-season appears to be more like a culmination that began in the B.J. Boston season and just has progressively gotten worse. Jones is reacting to that and it's totally fair for him to do so. We shouldn't treat Cal, who's a millionaire beyond all imagination, like he's a baby.

Reason I say INTERNET is because as a member in numerous UK GO BIG BLUE groups on other social media sites including FB etc, people come out the wood work to defend Calipari. You still have those hard core uneducated (Don't have a clue about nothing) fans who defend Calipari like he walks on water. In fact to many CAL does more than walk on water, on the 1st day he said let there be light, on the second day he created the atmosphere the sky, on the 3 day he created dry land seas plants etc, on the 4th day he created the Sun Moon and the stars, on the 5th day he created the creatures, on the 6th day he created Humans, and 7th day it was written...

Anyways, no expectations come October. I guess what irks me the most about out of touch fans who can't see exactly what's going on is some now a days are just happy to make the NCAA tournament, unbelievable.....

Agree, sounds crazy. While I have no idea what the requirements for a degree at Il St are, it is fairly common for a school to require that the last 30 hours (or so) be from the school. If so, Reeves could not meet the requirements for a degree from Il St by transferring a bunch of credits from UK.

Sounds like Cal is modifying his stance on collectives and is now on board for a non collective collective, or something along those lines. We'll see if it makes any difference. The dude still has multiple issues on and off the court to work on imo

^ I don’t know what changed in that regard, but now it sounds like Reeves is coming back, so I’m all for it.

Wish Cal had swallowed his pride and done whatever he’s done a long time ago. Maybe we’d have landed a couple more transfers, or hung onto Oscar and/or Livingston.

It sounds as if Cal has come to the realization that his name and the name Ky. alone isn't going to get the job done and that he's agreed to give Reeves however much he wants to stay at UK.

Can we get a redo do over with Ware Oscar maybe even Collins? This roster may end up being pretty good if the talent is as good as advertised but the 4 and 5 spots worry me to no end. Hate to see a season go by coming up short to say "what if" meaning if we had another big or two could have done something very special.....

I'm not up on the latest NCAA/NBA rules re a player who is not drafted. Can they return to college if not drafted?

I don't think so, once you declare College is over but i may be wrong. So many rule changes year to year i can't keep up myself...
