No. Those kids are stoked to be here, like one another, and aren't concerned about the roster. Certainly not to the extent that we all are.

Kids do NOT view this like we do.

I'm sure this is true.

I'm just not sure they know what they're in for.

And that won't be their fault. I'm still convinced we'll have two or three dynamic players. I really like the chance to see Ugo and Thiero, two players I really liked last year. And I think of the freshmen we'll have one or two who perform at a really high level.

But they're just too young. It would take an absolute perfect storm for this season not to be very, very tough. I mean you'd have to have about eight or nine things happen just right for this to work.

Cal put the young team together. He also whiffed on so many other options that the Bradshaw injury could decimate us.

So no, no leeway given. None.

I’m thankful for the freshmen we have coming in - Seems like a good group- positive reports about Bradshaw, the two returning, and Joey Hart’s announcement tomorrow. 🤞🏼

I didn't say I have accepted the current state of affairs, and I have not.

Lighthouse was just searching for a silver lining and I gave him one. Not a good one, perhaps, but one nonetheless.

With a dearth of bigs even before the apparent loss of Bradshaw, would it make sense to seriously consider playing "small ball" this year?

I've seen Sheppard play twice and I wouldn't worry about him to much. Of course he's a freshman but he's a battler and I expect him to adjust quickly.

I think Sheppard can play a little. If we had to rely on him--and we might--then that'd be bad. But I think he could play a role, sort of the way Thiero did last year.

On a really good team he probably wouldn't play. This doesn't look like it's gonna be that.
