Yeah I ain't getting all excited warm and fuzzy until I actually see what it looks like myself, been fooled way to many times. You don't get a A+ stamp of approval simply because you filled the KENTUCKY WILDCAT BASKETBALL ROSTER

I worry a little that that kid’s legend is growing into Matt Pilgrim territory. Yes, Adou has reportedly added a lot of size, but people say they saw all this potential last year, when in reality the kid barely played.

I hope he’s great. Think there’s plenty to like. But a lot of folks act like they saw him play a lot more basketball than he played.

What sticks out to me and not sure if it's true or not is did he actually grow 3 more inches??

To me that puts him in small forward CHRIS LIVINGSTON replacement territory. He was listed as 6'5 out of high school and if you add 3 inches of growth, the 6'7 6'8 range is a real good size..

Any news on Cyril at this point. Yes things would need to happen before he could play at Kentucky but i think he's a raw project worth taking a flyer on if he wants to reclassify and play with his teammate Dillingham. Who knows if he's "Baby Shaq" or not but depth is important if injury comes our way on the front line. Add this guy or another big if possible and i feel pretty decent about the roster. Not happy how we arrived here but once again, Cal seemed to at least figure out the roster part and have enough to field a team....

Yeah, I don’t think he should be listed at guard. You may seem him out there at one of those two spots at times just because he grew from those positions, but at his current size he’s definitely more in the mold of a forward.

Just because he has grown doesn't mean he has become any better at basketball. Sometimes when there is a big growth spurt, it takes awhile for skill and coordination to catch up.

I think Thiero will contribute, but I'm not expecting worldbeater stuff.

Thiero's size is a good thing because I thought he played in that sort of "positionless" way last year that he needs to be big to succeed. He wasn't a skilled player and was one of those "does a few things well but nothing great" types. Those guys need to be big and strong to offset their lack of skill.

I thought Chris Livingston was a little undersized for instance when he got down in the paint. If Thiero's truly 6'8" then he should be able to batter some people close to the basket.

I always thought that was the best part of his game: how fearless and strong he was.

Thiero is a good kid. Easy going and a team player. Always cheering his teammates on. Those are important and every team needs a player or players like that. From a skill stand point, he can shoot fairly well and he hustles and has a "that's my ball" attitude. Nothing fancy, but can play aggravating defense and important minutes.

I saw him this past weekend, I would bet that he's 6'6", or maybe 6'7" at most. Probably 6'6.5".

UK listed Thiero at 6’6” last season. Someone must still be talking about his senior year growth spurt.

Somto Cyril has committed to Kentucky, but I haven't seen anything about a reclass yet.
