Saw something a couple days ago that suggested the board, and the boosters, may be done with Cal. Andrew Slater then tweeted something about the boosters, so these rumors aren’t just coming from the UK fan base.

If true, those folks may be prepared to make it next to impossible for Cal to do his job, thus forcing him out.

Some have wondered if Cal has been “quiet quitting,” but if any of this is to be believed, he may be getting “quiet fired.”

Wish they would quit calling it NIL. Just advertise like a real job with the salary range being offered.

Cals relationship with the boosters has been in the gutter since before the pandemic. That's a fact.

Read this on another board: Bama ia getting visits from Kaluma and Nelson but Cal can't manage to get a visit.

It’s an odd assumption that the AD is ‘okay’ with the current status.

UK athletics is a business. Good business decisions are made not on emotions. To fire Cal now would cost a pretty penny. Whether the AD is content or not, one would like to think that a sound decision will be made at the best time. Is that tomorrow? 🤷‍♂️. Maybe end of the coming season 🤷‍♂️

As was stated earlier, he can’t play next season unless he finishes his course work or receives a wavier. He can remain at UK and play with no extra academic work needed

If he's attending summer school, this would indicate he plans on leaving.

In a perfect world, hope Cal fills this roster out with this good class coming in and makes a historic run only to ride off in the sunset once and for all.

I am ready for change but still hopeful Cal can leave, step down, whatever on good terms, not "we hate you get out of here don't ever come back here again terms"

One last ride and let's hope it's a good one ,then time to start a new chapter of Kentucky basketball. I want Kentucky basketball to be relevant again and actually play for TITLES and all time wins, not just "You people are crazy" and Thankful we even made the NCAA tournament, crazy how brainwashed fans have settled for mediocrity under Calipari....

I think only a NC could prevent that from happening. 1 win in the NCAA won't prevent it.

Overtime Elite's Somto Cyril will be visiting Kentucky. Looks like UK is going to try and get him reclassified into this year's class.

7 foot, 240 pounds. Averaged about 8 and 6 for OTE, 3.5 blocks. I've heard he's way more physically mature than most 7 footers at his age. Would expect him to be a practice body but if you can compete with Overtime Elite you should be able to get minutes in D1 basketball. God knows UCONN just rode to a title on the back of size, including one guy who was thought to be a project at the beginning of last season.

Kentucky looks to have made some calls and discovered the portal wasn't going to work for them this off-season, so it's Freshmen City. I've posted this, but I suspect it's mostly that the incoming class makes grabbing older players very difficult.
