Cal can leave after next year with all 5 freshmen leaving. A decent / exciting new coach can hit the portal and have players excited to come to UK. Hell if the coach at KSU, and one of the directional Florida teams can field a team completely from the portal, UK with a different coach can do the same. Will they win the NC? Prolly not. Will they win more ncaa tourney games than UK has the past 3 years? Maybe. Will they be excited to play for UK, I bet they will.

Long story short prediction: our NIL collectives are not just weak, they're bottom of the SEC.

We have lost 8 players ,possibly 9 from last years roster and in all probability only 1 will be drafted. There is simply no way a program can sustain excellence wiith that type of turnover. Cals model is BROKEN, and as this offseason has amply proven Cal doesn't see it, or he doesn't. care, I opt for the first option. There is also something behind the scenes going on that we don't know about. When 4 guys transfer from a marquee program, making good NIL money with obvious plaging time available something is amiss. The same goes for transfer portal guys, the few we have contacted, why are they balking at coming to UK. There has to be some dynamic at play here that isn't clear. Regardless6 weeks from today we take the court in Canada and we have 7 players, summer workouts begin next week with 7 players, given our I jury history this is an absolute disaster.
