The other problem with Cal which isn't a problem, any Kentucky resident who meets him out and about in the state worships the ground he walks on, they all love him, We see a hard core maniac stomping and screaming on the sidelines with players getting all up in there feelings because they can't take hard core coaching but off the court anyone I have ever talked to who met Coach Cal loves the man, says he the most genuine down to earth coach they have ever known....

To be honest, this is all screwed up dang if you do dang if you don't. All i know is Calipari and all us die hard fans are due for a dominate team. I don't care how he gets there ,who he gets who he doesn't, who goes who comes back long as this team is back on top cream of the crop is all i care about...

I wouldn’t go that far. We were able to climb out of the late Tubby and BCG eras, so I see no reason why we can’t recover from this, too.

I agree and believe we will climb back into an elite program, but when we do it will be with new leadership.

June 1st is the last day to withdraw from the draft and maintain college eligibility.

Ironically if we did return Reeves and Oscar I think we're okay. I'd like to have one more big but I still think that's a solid team that could contend if the freshmen are all ready to go.

Without Reeves and Oscar then it gets super hairy and we might want to plan something else to do during the winter months.

1. I dislike a model where good players are ostracized or disincentivized to return if they don't have "likely first-round pick" in their near future.

2. I REALLY dislike a model where you can play here for one season, sort of suck, but have lots of potential, and then be celebrated as "another Kentucky player in the NBA". Even worse when they go on to shine in the NBA... OAD was fine when you got the best of the best who were awesome for one year. OAD isn't fine when you get an ok player that takes more than they give. EVERY OAD I can think of in recent years is the latter.
