Let’s ask Rob. I bet he could shed some light on the topic.

We had to know that Cal would find some takers somewhere.

Sounds like Burks’ commitment to UK is imminent.

I wonder when we'll know how Reeves meeting, with Cal, went?

Cals run is a little similar to what Guy Lewis went through at Houston with a stretch of NBA talent that included Olajuwan.
talent, but no title. Always just a little shy.

We judge coaches by Nattys and final fours....and maybe that's not exactly fair considering how fantastically difficult those things are to reach, but that's Kentucky vasketball expectation....and it not only hasn't been met, it seems to be going in the wrong direction. Last year was the first time in quite a while I was satisfied with a first round win.

I think it's fair to judge by Final Fours and titles, but I also think some leeway should be given to teams like 2017 and 2019 who lost games in March that could've gone either way.

Cal also has the 2020 team that never got a postseason.

I do think the "championship or bust" fans are silly.

And boy does he love saying he “had the team to win it all” that year. Same claim 50 other schools could make. He also had a team that could have lost in round 2.

This team still going to need a big body or two, there has to be a sleeper out there somewhere who can simply play a role via rebounding defense screens put backs etc, just someone to play along with the scorers this team will have on the roster. I think if Cal can find one hopefully two of those guys, we can be alright with this talent provided it gels without any behind closed doors chaos this year. Cal always seems to be hard on these kids but may need to modify that in your face keep it real approach and hold these kids hands to build the trust and get them to buy in. A few of them will be NBA lottery picks with or without Calipari and Kentucky so using fear to motivate may not be the way with this group...

Anyways, find a few big body's and see what happens.....

I never thought they'd make the Final Four...but they were tough by the end. Still think that win at Florida to close out the season was one of the better regular season wins Cal's teams have had.

Doesn't matter though. You can't judge legacies or fan happiness with what-ifs. We found that out with Tubby back in the day. This is very reminiscent of those years.

I mean if Luke Maye's shot doesn't go in. If Auburn's guards miss just one three. If COVID doesn't happen. If the 2022 team were healthy. You can't keep doing that because it gives a guy who's a millionaire many times over excuses for just doing the same thing.

I doubt he signs two more after these two freshmen. I think it'll just be one more. That would put our scholarships at 10/11 (depending on Canada, who I suspect will be on scholarship) if Reeves comes back. I think that's likely as far as he'll go unless somebody else falls in his lap.

I hold out hope that it'll be Arthur Kaluma but not sure what's going on with him.

I would feel much better if we added one more serviceable big. Honestly thought Ware would be that guy but that's history at this point..

If we added Kaluma with Reeves, Burke and Hart, that would at least be a full roster.

I'm not sure if it's enough ready-made talent to be what we want to be, but it's a roster.

Talking about Reeves situation are you ok with him using UK to complete his graduate course work and then leaving?
Would he still be on a scholarship while finishing his course work or is he on his own? He could also apply for a wavier to play without being a graduate transfer. What are other’s thoughts concerning this situation?

Anyone know if he's met with Cal yet? I would really hope that no matter what Cal says we need you to make a decision and not drag this out any longer. I mean we are almost a month away from the Canada trip, would be nice for them all at least to start meshing and getting to know each other.

Maybe the Kentucky basketball culture could take a lesson from the Kentucky baseball team culture? These dudes are committed to standing in there and taking hits from fast ball's to get on base instead of getting out of the way, it motivates the team and fires them team, anything they can do to get a advantage and get a W.
