Cal's had two teams that performed way below what they should've. This team last year obviously being the most glaring example.

BUT what's often not talked about is that he's had two teams that played well above their roster.

That 2011 team had no business in the Final Four really. They had no depth, they were super young, and they were anchored by two guys in Harrellson and Liggins who many had given up on during their careers at Kentucky. That's probably Cal's best coaching job.

And the 2019 team can be thrown in there as well. I looked at that roster and wondered if they would go to the NIT. They weren't a great team for sure but they did win the SEC and became a very solid basketball team.

This is huge for the program. Jai’s the man in Texas, Chin has Chicago locked down, and O is O. Name a better staff in college basketball (I’m sure Jload can name five).

Doubt that means anything but it's still interesting.

Hardy is a pipe dream, but I have been told that Cal is still actively recruiting him like it is a possibility.

People are forgetting Jai Lucas too. Texas is absolutely loaded with talent these days. It's always been rich with talent, but now there is depth in that top talent.

Unfortunately, if Hardy does choose college, we maybe running second behind UCLA.
