I remain a little up in the air about TyTy only because his highlight videos seem...unusual. They don't really show some of the things you see in elite point guards.

That may mean nothing. Judging players based on highlight vids is always foolish unless they're superhuman like John Wall or De'Aaron Fox.

But those videos leave me with a strange feeling about him. One thing they oddly don't show is whether or not he has elite speed. I thought Devin Askew's main problem last year was that he just could not run. TyTy is surely faster than Askew but in most of those videos they show him in very close-quarters play rather than outsprinting people.

For a guy who you're going to bring in as THE man at the point that's a tad concerning.

But if it's what we have to go with and we have no other options, you have to just cross your fingers and hope.

This is true. Part of this is due to the membership drives sites like Rivals go on. They tout big information to get subscribers, obviously. I've learned to pay very little attention to those guys, even though I do think they have sources. They're wrong most of the time, partly because if you want to look like a fool by giving prognostications, following 18-year-old high schoolers is the game to get in.

That said, there are things that hit sometimes. Some of these guys do have solid sources and they're good at reading the tea leaves.

However having said all this, it doesn't really bother me when these guys are wrong. If you know what you're getting into and don't get your hopes wildly up, following recruiting can be fun.

I keep hearing/getting told stuff, some that sounds insanely great, but I am taking it all with a grain of salt until we at least get some shred of positive news for UK.

My guy still says Cal and UK think Zegarowski ultimately will transfer and would come to UK but he doesn't think Cal will wait it out.

“ That’ll be the day”. Besides gotta see how the team he puts together actually plays. Heard all the super roster preseason hype so many times before, most recently last season. Remember vividly how many said the addition of Starr would put us in the Final Four.
