Matt Jones discussed the Coach K stuff yesterday. He discussed there were 3 rumors that would happen, the Baldwin kid would choose Wisconsin-Milwaukee (this happened), Paolo Banchero would opt for the G-league, and Coach K would retire.

A friend of mine in Raleigh said he had heard the same stuff.

I do have to admit I was surprised to see Coach Williams retire before Coach K, especially since he's in his 70s too and older than Williams. And Boeheim is close to 80 yrs and STILL hanging! Lol

The more I think about it, the more I believe Wheeler will be our last addition to the roster (unless Brooks leaves and Cal grabs another forward). A third addition at guard makes it pretty tough to distribute minutes in a way that maximizes the back court’s potential and keeps the roster intact. If Mintz returns or we land another guard in addition to Wheeler, someone’s not going to play.

If we pick up Wheeler today, and Isaiah Jackson decides to return, I believe we're a Top 10 team.
If Jackson opts for the NBA (or UK decides it can't delay filling its front line), I hope we can bag ASU transfer Marcus Bagley. I still can't believe we aren't contenders for U Mass transfer Tre Mitchell, particularly because of Coach Cal's ties to U Mass.
