I would expect to hear the same "announcement" from Keion Brooks tomorrow.

We should just accept that we're not going to know anything concrete about our roster until July at the earliest. It's just the way it's gonna be now.

I was totally in the "Cal has a plan" group until Hickman's decommittment. I don't think Cal knows what's going on with the roster and who is coming/leaving. I don't see how he can possibly risk waiting until July to see if Carr or others change their mind about the NBA draft.

The sheer number of players they've been interested in suggests there's no plan. I think they're trying to figure out some of the more longterm things about the program--assistant coaching staff most of all--to try and start amassing a plan for down the road, but right now they look like they're struggling.

The Clarke situation did not help, obviously, but putting that to the side I really think this is the sort of stuff that happens to programs that have lost momentum and have been come through seasons as bad as ours was this past year. You don't just hit the ground running after stuff like that.

The good news is that in the sport of basketball, you're always one or two players away. That could obviously still happen. But no, I don't think they have any coherent plan and are just trying to figure things out right now.

I wonder how long the 9-16 record will haunt UK? The lack of a point guard in May is discerning. We really need Carr or another top point guard to come here next year to have any hope of a acceptable season. The pickings are getting slimmer each day.

I think the jobs were posted last Tuesday, which if it’s required to be visible for 7 days would mean the announcement could happen tomorrow.
