I was most intrigued by the editing. It's only been 12 years since that movie came out and it feels like it could've easily been made in the early '90s. Insanely dated.
Strangely enough, the director of "Wicker Park" followed it up immediately with "Lucky Number Slevin," a Tarantino knock-off that I nonetheless enjoyed thoroughly.

Penny Dreadful is pretty bad, too. Not sure why it's as popular as it is. Though, wasn't it just announced that it's been cancelled?
      No, it just got renewed.

Showtime has a knack for taking good original programming and running it so far into the ground that the end doesn't even resemble the origins (Dexter, Weeds, Californication, Ray Donovan, etc. etc.) I would've thrown Homeland into that list, but it's actually managed to regain it's footing in the last season or two.

Yeah, I reviewed this above because it was another free one that Amazon Prime put up.

Lucky Number Slevin is really good. Awful title but a very interesting movie.

I didn't know it was the same director.

          really?

Showtime president David Nevins and series creator John Logan talk with THR about the decision to end the monster drama with Sunday's ultimate series finale.

I only know because my father in law suggested the show and was pissed that it was cancelled.

Just started Stranger Things. About fifteen minute into the first episode. Too early to say much, but my Lord, the music is so good.

The boyfriend, Steve, in Stranger Things bears an uncanny resemblance to Jean-Ralphio.

That didn't even really hit me as I was watching, but some of the pictures I've seen of them both online are pretty uncanny.

The little boy who plays Michael is playing a lead role in the movie version of Stephen King's It.

He is playing Richie "Trashmouth" Tozier, the role that was previous played by a young Seth Green.

When I posted that, I had no idea there was an honest-to-God fan craze about the similarity. Steve is Jean-Ralphio's father??

I had absolutely no idea who Jean-Ralphino was until I googled him... I think I still don't.

Wife and I saw Star Trek Beyond. We are both HUGE Trek fans and loved this episode. Love the new series of films and this one is going into my collection. Once again, good fun at the movies...Iike it should be. I know Trek is not for everyone but it's for me. I will miss "Chekov" though. Sad and tragic end for the young actor.

Big Chris Pine fan. Looking forward to seeing Hell or High Water.
