Is Briscoe coming back? (UPDATE: Briscoe Returning to Kentucky)

Briscoe needs to come back to Kentucky in my opinion. Even if he's not playing point and playing the two or three, coming back serves him well. Still, i would gamble on him if i was a GM. I am convinced he can get to the rim anytime he wants and his body is already NBA ready, he just needs to learn how to shoot and make freethrows.

If our incoming guards pan out like I think they will, Briscoe won't be the PG or the SG...not starting! He may be weighting that out, because the incoming guards may be better shooters.

I can't imagine a scenario where Briscoe doesn't start if he is here next year. Does too many things that win games not to. Besides it's obvious that Cal loves the way he plays.

The starting.line up if Briscoe and Lee come back is almost guaranteed to be

Cal may go small ball substituting Willis for Lee (and that's probably our best lineup) would have to gang rebound but would be overall the best combination of shooting skill and offensive balance. Willis would help spread the floor allowing Monk, Fox, and Briscoe to attack. And Bam would clean up everything.

Briscoe will start if he's back. He's an excellent defender and I'm not sure I have seen a UK guard take the ball to the basket better than him.

Kyle Tucker says that he believes the paperwork has to be in by 5:00. There was a rush of decisions late last night so I'd expect Briscoe and Lee's to come down before noon.

Gary Parrish says he thinks both will be back. Jeff Goodman tweeted late last night that Marcus Lee will release a statement through UK today.

I dont see Lee in the starting line at all. Willis, Jones, Gabriel are just over all better. Even Humphries at center and Bam at the 4 is better in my opinion. ..

Think we'll need Willis's outside shooting so he'll probably start. If Wenyen Gabriel is as good of a shooter as he's supposed to be then he might start there. Not sure if he'll be ready for the speed of the game until the second half.

One of those three probably won't be playing much come January. Wenyen has colossal upside and I have to think he'll be the guy as the season moves on, but Willis is going to get a lot of run. Not sure how Lee fits in unless he puts in work.
