He has the will to get in the lane and is strong with the ball. His shooting needs work but NBA teams have taken chances on much less. Hopefully he returns. We need him.

Isaiah Briscoe worked out for the Spurs today according to his father. Will work out for the Clippers this week, Lakers right after Combine.

Did he get class excuses to miss his finals?

Sounds to me like he is gone, regardless of what the NBA scouts may or may not tell him.

I don't think getting workouts is an indication that he's gone. A lot of these guys do workouts. Most of them do. Quite a few come back.

Hard to imagine with as much talent that has declared that he would be in the mix for a first-round slot, but I can see an NBA team liking his toughness.

Hope he comes back because we badly need him. Derek Willis as the lone returning regular is sort of a scary proposition and would severely damper my expectations for next year.

Will, I agree that we really need him. And, I also agree that the chances of him being a first-round selection are slim to none. He just seems excessively intent on making the jump. Plus, I am also concerned about the classes he must be missing that Spiritof96 alludes to above. I just hope he makes a good decision for his future.

I have no idea what classes he's taking nor what arrangements he's made. It seems that finals are front loaded towards the front of the week. So in theory anyone could be finished by Wednesday if they only had 1 or 2 finals. Also, accommodations are often made for athletes to take exams and such outside of the normal time slots. This is no way unusual if you think about their travel time to/from games.
Or, he could have just blown them all off, haha.

He was a tremendous liability for us on the offensive end at times. Especially in the second half of games.

The good thing though is that with next year's team we won't half to count on him for much offense. We just need his grit and tenacity on the defensive end.

If we're only talking about shooting, sure. I'd agree. But there were plenty of games - especially in the second half of the season - when Briscoe could get into the paint and score at will.

Briscoe can score. He just can't shoot.

My hunch bet is that he will go pro. The longer you keep your hat in the ring the better the chance a player will stay in. Sounds like he may be getting some positive feedback from the pros. It wouldn't take much of that for him to stay in.
