Both Pitino and Cal are the kings of ridiculous hyperbole. Must be an Italian thing.
I'd give the edge to Pitino over something he said after the loss to Villanova: "This was the most unenjoyable experience of my lifetime".
Really? MORE unenjoyable than losing your son? Hearing of the death of your brother-in-law? Your wife finding out about Karen Sypher? Karen Sypher attempting to extort you? The implosion and subsequent firing at UofL?Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

If Cal gets by Kansas, it proves on thing to me, he couldn't handle the pressure of Kentucky.
He always talked about Kentucky not being for everyone, maybe deep down he was talking about himself?Comment

Cal speak- The SEC tourney means nothing......and guess what he has lost consistently early the last 5 years and shows that it means nothing.
Cal decided to put the wrong assistants around him and still remains loyal no matter the season outcome. He is more loyal to them than he is to the school and the fan base.
An interesting matchup for first round for sure.

The extreme negativity around the Kansas program. I think the players are over it and don't want to be there / are playing with fear of another failure.
I could be wrong. It would be fun if having Boogie Fland back killed the team Feng Shui.Originally posted by John Stuart MillHe who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that... Who held him accountable? It certainly wasn't the AD. Make no mistake. If Cal hadn't walked or breached his contract or however you want to put it, he'd be on the sidelines in Rupp.
I guess the fanbase was putting pressure on him and he grew tired of dealing with us. I have to admit, I'd get tired of dealing with us too at times. I could maybe do it for $9MM a year 🤣 Can you imagine what his life would be like right now if he'd stayed? I don't think we make the tournament. He's not beating the likes of Duke, Gonzaga, UT, Florida...Comment

I'm not sure if Arkansas has a lot of Feng Shui at the moment, without Fland. That's a thoroughly mediocre basketball team.Comment

OTOH a lot of teams don't have an answer for him and they've lost a lot of games.
They do seem to be similar. I would probably go with Kansas not because of personnel, but because I think Cal will panic. You saw it in the SEC Tournament. In both games they just were a mess whenever there was any game pressure.Comment

I may have to wash my mouth with soap for saying this but, I want Arkansas to beat Kansas because I dislike Dickinson and Self more than Calipari.John 3:3
