I had a migraine last night so I took some medicine and went to bed about 8:00. Arkansas has an 8:30 ET tilt with Boomer Sooner and then gets a week off before coming to Rupp. I'm with you Will. Thiero on this team would be epic. Rooting for that guy.

Like i said, winning the Arkansas game is very important for many many reasons. If we don't show up and decide to take the night off, ARKANSAS could easily hand us a BIG L on our home court.

Arkansas will come to Rupp fired up but unprepared. Pope will have a game plan and his team prepared. The crowd will be unbelievable and I expect a good game. And I expect a Win. It will the first time we will be able to see what we used to watch compared to what we see now. As far as bench decorum goes.

This is neither here nor there but I don't think Cal is on the refs the way Nate Oats gets on them.

Not that that's saying much, but I thought Oats was kind of a madman in our game...and they got an AVALANCHE of free throws.

Probably not a correlation there, but I couldn't help but notice every time Oats went over to talk to the ref, there seemed to be a call not long afterward.

Pope spends almost no time getting on them, but by the same token Pope has talked a lot after the two SEC losses about sending tapes in to the SEC office so he can understand the calls.

These are the kinds of games that Cal's teams finds a way to play well in. They may have that "win one for the gipper" mentality. But, I think Kentucky is a better team with a coach that is light years ahead of Cal. I expect a win as well. Hopefully somewhere in the 12-15 point range.

Arkansas can't shoot but they've got some guys who are the types of players we've struggled with. They probably are a little like Ohio St.

Wagner, Knox, and Thiero can all take the ball and just drive it relentlessly at the rim. We don't really like when teams do that to us. But we've beaten some other teams who play that same way (Texas A&M comes to mind) so you hope if we play our normal game, we'd be able to outlast them.

Very hard to win in college basketball if you can't hit threes somewhat consistently. Arkansas goes long stretches of games where they just clank most every shot.

Or we could just go zone. Cal hasn't figured out a zone offense in the last 15 years, don't know why he's start now! 😂

He'd be unbelievably perfect for what Pope needs.
He OR Cyril would be a big help

Oats was way different than Cal. Cal screams and acts like an idiot. When any coach talks to an official there will soon be a whistle, and half the time it goes the other way. Pope does that right too.

This season literally anything can happen on any game night.

glad for the cats to beat the Hogs, but really for me it’s the importance to keep from losing at home.

Dan Dakich chimes in on the Seth Greenberg thing and suggests Kentucky, like Indiana, is "sliding into irrelevance."

Dan Dakich is the most insufferable, obnoxious, smug, unpleasant person in sports media. Which is quite the honor.

And, per usual, his take is absurd.

Dakich and Greenburg hit about 50/50....which I guess is pretty decent for talking heads
