Another interesting thing about Lamont Butler is the monumental issues Kentucky had had on the west coast under Cal. Just struck out again and again with players from over there. Having connections to the west is huge.

Yes, you get players as you can and then focus when out of dire straights. Pope can sign another 4-5 and then take a breather to assess who is left and/or holding out. There could be a Reeves sitting out there in June again.

Hunter Dickinson chose Kansas May 4th 2023. Thats 10? days away. Eternity, especially with 4 more days players can AND WILL enter the portal.

Utah's Deivon Smith is another one that jumps out, but Jones said earlier there were some behind-the-scenes things going on there. I'm assuming academics.

Not sure that’s entirely accurate, unless I didn’t see the whole quote. I just saw that they were asked about UK, acknowledged the coaching change, credited all of UK’s success to Cal, and stated it would be a whole new process if UK we’re to try to get involved.
