A week outfrom draft deadline and still only 7 players. I really thought we would have signed someone by now, that Cal really did have some contingencies in wings, as he said.. At this point I am at a total loss as to what is going on. What a nightmare.

Burks is currently talking about how UK is his dream school so I think we're good.

But it would be truly hilarious if he didn't pick Kentucky. And fitting for the Summer of Hell, really.

Eh, kids saying UK is their dream school hasn't exactly boded well for UK in the past .. and why is he using past tense here, why push the announcement back? Not a slam dunk at this point to me.

It's obvious that he does have contingencies. We'll get Burke, Hart, Cyril and (probably) Reeves. That will give us an 11 man roster with guys who can ostensibly dribble and chew gum at the same time.

Whether you think that roster is sufficient to do what we want to do is another matter, and a fair debate.

As a sidebar. Our thin team was at South Oldham High School today for a kids clinic. Dillingham was there. Edwards was for awhile, then he left. One that wasn't there was Cal.

Yeah, unless he went home to think things over or something you have to think he'd have made an announcement by now. I'm inclined to believe the meeting didn't go well and/or he just had his mind made up to get out of dodge already and wasn't gonna be swayed.
