Looks like Kentucky is putting its pieces in order to make a couple of additions.

Return Reeves, add Knecht/Cleveland and Dickinson, and I think we might have something to work with.

Although I'm excited about the probable additions and the incoming Freshmen, I remember we still have (mess it all up) Calipari.

Jones says on Twitter that there are unreported things about Oscar, including potential visa issues, and that he has to do what's best for him and his family. Goes on to suggest the NIL numbers at Kentucky were overblown.

I interpret that as saying Oscar really wants a professional contract so he can start working on getting his family out of the Congo.

OR you could say that this is the sort of roster than Calipari traditionally is more comfortable coaching. How about some positivity in here?

Agree about Bradshaw. Sorry been watching him a bunch and I hope I’m wrong but I’m not sold on him at all. Tall, skinny, slow, and not really that athletic. Plays lazy D at times. He’s going to get beat up in a more physical college atmosphere just like Collins did. I just don’t see it.

At this point, I’m not sold in a title run or anything next year unless they can pull some big pieces and with Liv or Reeves or both come back.

Aaron Bradshaw will struggle a bit at first, but he will kill it as the season goes on.

The kid is a great basketball player.

I like Bradshaw's versatility. Been awhile since we've had a player like that. Those stretch 4's often aren't athletic phenoms but are more skilled, and I think that's the sort of player he could be.

The downshot is that those players can sometimes be pushed around. However that can go both ways; sometimes that long, angular body type can be a colossal advantage. Anthony Davis comes to mind of course but the last two SEC POY's have been freshmen built like that.

I once had a poster on here tell me Anthony Davis was too skinny and we better not get our hopes up about him.

Every April we hear who’s leaving. Every summer Cal pieces together a roster that gets me excited about the possibilities. Every late February into March we’re on here frustrated with results and things Cal could be doing differently. How many years in a row of this before it’s OK for a fan to be skeptical? Surprise changes may well be yet to come. None of the freshman are here yet. Livingston and Reeves are not officially coming back.

No one will be more pleased and excited than me if it works out this time. But I’m a bit tired of being duped.

                              GO CATS!

My point was that this is the sort of roster that Cal has traditionally done the best with. We don't just have borderline five star kids coming in this year; they're the very best kids in the class.

For whatever reason, Cal has struggled with less talented freshmen and senior-laden rosters.

This roster will be much more like his earlier seasons. The last time he had a roster with this much freshman NBA talent was the Monk/Adebayo/Fox year, and I'd argue that that one was pretty darn entertaining.

Being frustrated with Cal is completely understandable (I am), but I'm going in cautiously optimistic based on his history with these sorts of players.
