That seems a tad excessive, but him and Cal would be a good place to be.

Busy little Easter for the future Wildcats. Supposedly, Ugo may return after all, and Kyle Tucker says it’s “increasingly likely” that Oscar comes back, as well.

If both are on next year’s roster, I have no idea how that’d work with Bradshaw. I’m fact, it’s hard to see him sticking with his commitment if that we’re the case.

This is purely conjecture from me, but I can't imagine the staff allowing that log jam to happen.

Logically speaking, no, it makes zero sense and one would think any competent coach would see that.

But if ever there were a coach who’d be willing to stockpile that many bigs, it’s Cal.

Cal being Cal, he playing the freshman Bradshaw

If Bradshaw is anything like the hype we hear about him, and he has some meat on his bones, Ono will likely not take his minutes unless he improves a lot over this past year. .

He's already signed a LOI hasn't he? I know he could ask for, and be granted, a release but doing so would seem to be a bit embarrassing to me.

The talk was always UK or OTE, so in the unlikely event the roster gets crowded and he decides to bail, that’s probably where he’d end up. In that case, the LOI wouldn’t mean a thing.

He’d play Oscar at the five and Bradshaw at the four.

He's told Bradshaw that he's a "3 or a 4" so you would think Bradshaw might hang his hat on that.

Having seen him, he's not close to a 5 so I'm not sure Ugo or Oscar would matter.

Ugo is the most interesting of those three players. Cal wouldn't take Oscar out of the game last year; sometimes he couldn't. I'm not sure how Ugo fits in in that dynamic necessarily. He's a highly interesting player and I'd love to have him, but Cal isn't great at finding guys PT on crowded rosters. Generally he just tries to play the same 5 all the time and shuffles one or two others in.

If it all shakes out that way it's going to be highly interesting.

If Oscar returns and you're looking for a silver lining, I think you look to the first 20-25 games of his first season at UK.

I didn't hear much about his defense then. Hardly anything. I mean he was the starting center on a team that went into Kansas and beat the dog poop out of the national champion.

It was only late that year that things took a turn. And then obviously into this year.

The silver lining *might* be: when surrounded by better players Oscar can be masked. Also I thought his injury really took a toll this year and set a bad tone early in the year.

I like Oscar and actually hope he does return on a day one hard working out to prove a point mentality. Hopefully injury free dedicated to working on his defense and all of the above. I also think he would have to accept the role that the offense will not run through him...

Just read that over 20% of all Division 1 players are in the portal with more to come. Coaches must be pulling their hair out trying to figure out what to do.
