Yes. I consider a defender failing to close out on a good shooter at 21 feet and watching him stroke them in your face to be as much “getting roasted†as allowing the drive by dunk because you failed your team with laziness. Not talking about the Steph Curry 27 footers but right on the line? Come on!
Unfortunately we had a number of players this season who also absolutely could not stay in front of a penentrator. Gave up tons of layups in the half court set.Comment

I know nothing about this Carr dude, but if he can't shoot or play defense why would we want him? He sounds a lot like what we had this year.John 3:3

Will be the best transfer available unless something crazy happens. Really good lead guard. Don't know much about his defense because I didn't watch him play enough.
Would imagine he'll be drafted so I don't really expect him in college, but playing a year on a good team might make him a first rounder.
Still would rather have Skyy Clark but if Carr is out there you have to give him a look.Comment

If we can get a good, veteran transfer PG for next season, I think I’d prefer Skyy not take the reclass route.

I'm torn on Clark. I don't really think he's that young. Would still be 18 when he got on campus. We've had younger.
He's a superstar from day one...if he's not physically/mentally overmatched. I admit that I do think about Kira Lewis Jr. when he got to Alabama and how young he was. Took him a year to really get comfortable enough to show his talent.
Lewis was younger than Clark IIRC. Think he was 17 as a freshman.Comment

If you guys say we need him, I'm good with that. Someone said he can't shoot or play defense, that why I asked.

Keeping Skyy in HS would also keep us out of PG trouble for next year. We’d have a transfer and Hickman next year, Skyy and Hickman after that, followed by D.J. Wagner (and Hickman? Maybe?).I'm torn on Clark. I don't really think he's that young. Would still be 18 when he got on campus. We've had younger.

Three years of security at PG sounds mighty nice.👍 1Comment

Crazzed said it.
Carr was pretty much all Minnesota had, and as a result teams keyed in on him a lot. Had to try to take over on numerous occasions, resulting in inefficient stats that don’t really tell his whole story.
Get him on a more balanced team and he’ll look good. Steady, veteran hand, too.Comment

Thanks. I should have went back to see who said it before my post.
