I don't know about 30+ minutes but I think he'd play a lot next year. It actually wouldn't surprise me if he played 30+ minutes here, by virtue that the post is so weak for us.

If he wants to play for it all, he comes to Kentucky plain and simple. If he wants to build his stock playing 30 plus minutes with everything around him, i don't want him anyways. If Anthony Davis can make sacrifices, so can he....

Good news coming for UK tomorrow. I am being told that UK is nearly 100% confident they will get a commitment from Blackshear when he is on campus. They told me that at this point it will be a "major surprise and upset" if he does not choose UK. He has basically eliminated all of the other schools and it's really just about hearing more on Cal's plan for him and how he meshes with the other guys.

What do you think happened? Were they just not aware he would still go to Texas A&M to see his old coach, or is he truly still undecided?

Not sure, haven't been able to get any info other than they feel really good about it still but are surprised he didn't commit while here.

I do think he is going to visit A&M just to close that out. But, it sounds like UT is a real option now (which makes no sense to me).

I still think he ends up a Cat though.

I'm not pessimistic, but I don't like leaving things at 'the staff feels good about their position' because we hear that a lot, and lately that thinking has been wrong a lot.

You have to worry about Buzz pulling on the heart strings a little bit, but UT sounds like it's a real option. They'll have a pretty solid team again next year, but Rick Barnes will undoubtedly choke in the tournament.

Rivals' Corey Evans says the decision should come within the next four or five days, it's down to Tennessee and UK, and Kentucky is in a great spot.

This is what I was thinking. Especially for a team that's so experience driven. Not a team that reloads every year.

I can see us as back in the drivers seat in conference if we get Blackshear rather than the wide open season of last year. UK, UT, LSU and Auburn all had a real shot last year.
