Noticed that around 9:00 last night a Tennessee beat writer tweeted that Blackshear was down to Kentucky and Tennessee, and that he would take the visit to Texas A&M as planned. Announcement would come sometime next week.
I take that with a huge grain of salt, because why would a Tennessee beat writer get a scoop while the player's visiting Kentucky? Doesn't really make sense.
With that said, I have long thought he might take that TAMU visit if for nothing else than to pay a favor to Buzz. So that part makes sense.Comment

This could be the case and there will be a sort of video/Twitter announcement today like Reid Travis gave last year at this time.
But I will say that you always hear the player gave a kind of "silent" verbal. I've heard that with virtually every recruit Kentucky has been really invested in over the last fifteen years or so.

Today is a pretty exciting day for me especially if Blackshear announces UK today. Unfortunately my Celtics teams is blowing up due to the fact that Kyrie never embraced Boston and the Chemistry wasn't there, this year would have been a Golden opportunity with KD and Thompson shelved for the upcoming year. Excited to see if the Celtics take Herro, he is high on the chart for them per reports and if i was Boston, you have to take Daniel Gafford, i think he's a steal and really good player imo.....Comment

Chris Dortch of Blue Ribbon Yearbook says that Blackshear is down to TAMU, Tennessee, and Kentucky.
This info suggests he will visit TAMU, as the Tennessee beat writer was saying last night.Comment

I read today where Blackshear started following some TN players. I hate to say this but i think Blackshear is using all of this as his summer vacation, he is visiting alot of place and getting a whole lot of love, not a feeling in the world like being wanted lol lol lol.....Comment

Most of these guys don't commit on their visits. Reid Travis was an odd case.
Particularly with TAMU having his old coach this makes a lot of sense. It would really shock me if he picked them however.
Tennessee concerns me. The fact that Blackshear and Williams are so similar, and that Tennessee reportedly was prepared to tell Blackshear the entire offense would be geared around him, has to have been enticing in some ways. At Kentucky you're going to have to share a lot of the wealth around, as he pretty much had to do at Virginia Tech. At Tennessee he could be the guy next season.

If he wants to win and make a run in the tournament.... its an easy choice.
If he wants to play 30 plus minutes a game, we are out.
If he wants to have the offense focused on him, we are out.
If he wants to play against elite players day in and day out and be pushed to his limits and be on tv every game....its an easy choice.Comment
