Well, by definition, it's not cheating if everyone else is doing it - we're just keeping up. If every major school under the sun is paying players, you can't really call it cheating. It's just breaking the rules.
I personally don't give a rip if we're paying players, and I don't mind players getting paid. I just want it done in the open.

In this case, to cheat - violate rules dishonestly - is the appropriate definition. It'd be akin to saying one isn't breaking the speed limit if everyone is breaking the speed limit.Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

Cheating: "act dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage, especially in a game or examination."
Hard to say you're gaining an advantage when literally everyone's doing it.Comment

The overarching definition in this case is violation of rules. History indicates that schools have been disciplined less so because it gave an advantage and moreso because it violated rules. If that weren't the case, UofL would not be appealing a case that essentially provided no advantage because the guys plied with ho's ended up attending elsewhere. I'll also argue that based on those women, there's no way to ever convince me that constituted as any sort of advantage or incentive, lol.Extremism is so easy. This just keeps on getting better and better. According to the article the FBI has spreadsheets detailing who got paid, how much they got paid and how much more they were planning to pay that they took from Andy Miller. They have wiretaps between Andy Miller and a former associate Christian Dawkins talking about landing the top talent before they go pro. It seems that Mr. Miller had relations with a number of coaches on the college and AAU level. The article goes on to state, Sources said this includes numerous prominent players in the upcoming NCAA tournament.
If the situation is as bad as the information coming out suggest, I think that the pressure on the NCAA to do something will be to great to ignore.Comment

I posted the same article in another thread. Here's the part that is bothersome to me, "If your school produced a first-round pick in the past three years, be worried.â€Philippians 4:11-4:13Comment

If all of this comes to fruition it will change the landscape of college basketball. Sounds like every top program will be affected. So be prepared, because chances are good UK is part of this as well as any other top level program.Kentucky fan since 1971.👍 1Comment

I totally agree. But wouldn't it be ironic if when all is said and done UK and Cal are determined to be one of the clean programs. If such a thing even exists.Comment

I'm skeptical the NCAA will punish 50 'top level programs' at all. I could easily see those 50 banding together and telling the NCAA to eat it.
