Jack "Hacksaw" Reynolds who played his college ball at Tn. Legend has it that someone beat up on the Vols pretty badly and Hacksaw was so upset that, when the team returned to Knoxville, he took a hacksaw and cut an old car in half. Supposedly, the next morning, he took some of his teammates to show them what he had done and the car was gone.Philippians 4:11-4:13Comment

Yep, here's the rest of the story I promised you. I read the Kentucky Explorer and they had an intersting article about Dawson Springs. It was a veru popular hot springs resort in the early 20th century. It was so popular that the Pittasburgh Pirates had spring training there from about 1915 to 1917. Honus Wagner was on those teams. They had a couple of pictures of the team in front of popular hotel in that area at the time. The Pirates are the only MLB team to hold spring training in the state of Kentucky and probably will be the only ever to do that.
