Per Evan Daniels, Kentucky has offered NC State verbal commitment Shaun Kirk.

Three-star player who's apparently considering the UK offer. All I know about him is that he's supposedly an incredible dunker.

Probably not a good sign in the Jaylen Brown sweepstakes.

Yep, must be some misinformation from KU supporters. He'll almost certainly become a JayHawk now that crazzed has blown the kiss of death!

Maybe us losing 7 guys and having a hard time replacing them is a blessing in disquise. A number of us are not fans of the one and done issue and use essentially starting over next year. If we get guys like this, the Charlotte guy, and Mulder we are potentially getting guys that will be around a few years. Might open the door to have a balanced team of a few three or four year guys and a few AAs.

Good point. (Although Mulder would only have two years left.)

Still think guys like Skal, Diallo, Briscoe are clearly one-and-done candidates. Doesn't mean they necessarily will be, but they definitely have the measurables and bodies to do it.

I think if we miss on all these guys what you'll notice is that fans will not be nearly as forgiving about having four-year players as they claim they would be. Fans talk a big game but when the team struggles nobody's happy with having "guys who play for the name on the front of their jerseys."

That's nonsense. Everybody wants to win. It's only in hindsight, after the players leave, that people claim they hate the NBA.

Depressing, depressing, depressing....Evan Daniels says he is a combo forward and probably means Cal doesn't feel good about Diallo.

The #192 ranked player who had offers from Charlotte, East Carolina, Clemson, Virginia Tech....when will the month of Crap (April) end????

I'm a fan of winning...the Charlotte guy, Mulder, and these random 3-4 year guys don't lead to winning.

Missing on all these top guys is a big deal. But, the one and done haters should love it. Just don't want to hear any complaining when UK goes 22-10 and is a 7 seed in the tourney.

Werent we 22-10 when we went to the Final Four with Brandon Knight? We have the impact players for next year to be a good season and it seems we are trying to add some role players. Nothing wrong with that at all. Especially if those role players stick around for 2, 3, or 4 years. You can never have too much experience coming back.

A poster on another board posits that Cal may have offered Kirk because he's an AAU teammate of 2016 top ten player Bam Bam Abedayo.

I'm rather excited to see what Cal can do with this "horrible" class. Reahgrdless of what happens, we'll still be Top 5. Much ado about nothing. If anything, this will put the "Cal can't coach" doubters on notice. In Cal I trust. Not internet Debbie Downers or so called "experts" like Pat Forde. We've had success in the past as far as "guys who play for the name on the front of their jerseys" in Tubby and he did rather well. I feel Cal is a better coach. While this class so far is no slouch (We did get the #1 overall player), Cal will fill it out with guys he feels can fill the needs. I'm not worried. The sky isn't falling. We will be good next year.

Ok, I want him on our team just because of that name lol. Bam Bam and while we're at it Thon Maker, another cool name.

Good, absolutely, a national title contender, I don't see it as of right now this at very moment. We're lacking depth in a big way, but in the next few days I may be saying to the contrary, we'll see.
