I agree, I said that a long time ago, and he already has a "logo", Really??

I know you are a stud high school player but you aren't kobe or Lebron yet. But since I don't know him personally i'm not going say it's all him because who knows, maybe it's his family that is trying to market him.

I've always said that I don't think he will come to UK because he is a "me" player, and if he wants to show his skills every time down the court he better go somewhere like LSU where he can have free reign to throw up 25 shots a night. The whole website sure gives off an arrogant aroma to me.

Newman seems the type that would be like "let me show everybody that I can beat Kentucky!" and would join LSU to try and do that seeing it that they already have a few pieces in place. Now, if he's all about coming to a school that in his mind could put him on the best track to get ready for the NBA he'll do the smart thing and go to UK.

I think Newman is an attention hound, but that's about.

Yeah, same things you guys have spoken about. The self-promotion and brand building just make me nervous...as to what else might be present.

If he wants to come here and do what Cal says, then by all means come on down.

I still think that Newman is not going to go to a program where he doesn't have free reign to do whatever he wants, and he knows that Cal runs this program, not the players.

But if it is true that there is NO chance he ends up at UK then he should have to respect to let them know, but from what this kid has shown he will soak up all the attention he can get.

I actually just read the whole article you posted JF and if what is said in it is even somewhat true, there is no way he comes to UK. I knew he played some PG but didn't know he was set on that position, and even if Andrew leaves that will be a crowded position, since Briscoe is also a combo guard that plays a lot of PG.

Looks to me that Newman is gonna land at LSU or KU.

He committed awhile back and already signed his LOI, last fall I think. The same time that Skal and Mathews did.
