I highly doubt Booker leaves. As for the Twins, who's going to draft them? Neither currently has an attractive position (if anything) on any draft board. If they leave, it'll be because they just want to go and are willing to take a big gamble.

Can't disagree with anything you said about the twins, I just think their ego may take them to the D-league unfortunately.Comment

Back to topic, top 2016 target Tyus Battle has cut UK from his list, this comes as a pretty big surprise.

I think there is a HUGE chance Booker is gone. Already showing up in top 15 mocks and if he progresses during the tourney, could go higher. He is the one Cat (along with Lyles) I hope returns but.....
I think WCS, Towns, Booker, Twins all go. I think 50-50 on Lyles and Johnson.
We'll see though. For as whacky and free-thinking as Willie is, he might even come back.Comment

WOW...that's a shock. Wonder what led to that?Comment

That leaves Ulis, Lee Poythress (hopefully) plus the incoming class of guys.Comment

Your guess is as good as mine. About all i've seen is that he might want to play PG some in college but some teams only considered him a wing player. Just a guess though.
And I agree, Cal better be planning for a mass exodus, which is i'm sure what he is telling all the recruits, which is hopefully why a lot of them are waiting to make their decision until the spring.Comment

They were widely projected to be one-and-dones and, even after an inconsistent freshman season, figured to bolt for the pros. Calipari has said he expected they'd be pushed in that direction – which is probably the direction Aaron Sr. preferred. Yet they surprised everyone and came back to school.
"I mean, am I glad? Ummmmm, I don't know if I would say I was glad," he said. "I wasn't like the person who helped them make their college decision. …

I just don't think Booker's in a hurry to go anywhere. Yeah, he could go in the first round this year, but he's also kind of exceptional for a Cal player in that he could come back and really improve his stock. Most of Cal's guys benefit from getting in and out in a year; Booker, on the other hand, could come back and work on his ability to get to the rim. He's shown that he can do it, but it's not always pretty and it isn't always executed efficiently or with the best judgment. We know his shot's where it needs to be; come back for another year and develop an all-around game that scouts will love. Right now he'd get shuffled into the D-League pretty quickly, and then he becomes a dime-a-dozen player who may never again impress anyone enough to get pulled back to the big league. Most of the time I say this as a cover up for wishful thinking, but in Booker's case I truly believe there's improvement to be made in a second year at Kentucky.Comment

Call me crazy, but I dont think Booker leaves. He just seems like the kind who would want to stay an extra year and enjoy himself, but I only know him from online interviews and his play. I am also not net on WCS leaving. He is different and plays to the beat of his own drum. He was upset last year because people said he had little offensive game. This year he was criticized for being soft. Who knows? He may decide to come back and dominate two years in a row to shut people up. I think Towns is gone and if Lyles is projected first round I think he goes. Outside of those two, I think everyone else could potentially be back next season, but I dont think they all do.Comment

I have been hearing for a while that there is a good chance Newman ends up at LSU.
If so, would be a really good team next year, probably #1 if Mickey and/or Martin return

It's still interesting that Meyer still has Kansas as his prediction, and UK is still ahead on the crystal ball, and LSU isn't even on the radar. I do think the addition of Simmons has made it more attractive because there is no doubt they will be a good team, expecially if Mickey and Martin return. I agree they will probably be the #1 team to start the season.
Briscoe is going after Newman pretty hard to get him to come to Kentucky, just like Simmons is....it'll be interesting, I still say that it will take a bunch of guys leaving to get Newman to come to UK. He knows that he can go to LSU and start next year, without a doubt. He most likely would at UK too, but it's no guarantee, heck, we have a borderline Lottery pick that doesn't even start.Comment

I think Newman is an attention hound, but that's about.Comment
