Thumped by 24, out rebounded by like 30.
After Ohio State, I was feeling a little buyer's remorse in regards to personnel changes, mainly Thiero. Assume this was payback for Malik Monk.

Not sure if it's true or not but there's a rumor floating around that today DJ looked up at the scoreboard and said "F, i should have stayed at UK "
Feel sorry for some of those kids, bamboozled by Cal. What they need is coaching and development, not NBA mentality preaching.
NBA mentality means nothing if you don't make it.Comment

These were and are Cals kids. He recruited them and they trust him. I get it.
now.. I wish Thiero had stayed. He seems a high energy kid that would fit well into what Pope is doing. Ivisic I'm not sure...he would absolutely have to work a LOT on his strength and conditioning.
In this day of the portal who knows? We may see one or two of these guys back....but I really doubt itComment

Thiero had about four unbelievably athletic plays in the second half of that game. Had he finished here he might've gone down as the most athletic player we've ever had. Just an unbelievable specimen.
Still not a superstar because he struggles shooting the ball. But he's almost like a Lynn Bowden: you know what he's going to do every time but it's still hard to stop him.Comment

It's a shame some of the players Calipari brought to Kentucky didn't stick around and develop. No one in the history of college basketball may never produce more NBA talent than Cal has. I can name 40 plus without even thinking about it.Comment

Thiero is similar to Azubuike but his speed and explosiveness are considerably more frightening (there's no other word I can think of). He's WAY different in that regard than he was just last year. It's crazy to watch.
He's probably not as consistent as Azubuike became, because Azubuike could shoot. Thiero is just one relentless drive to the basket after another. But he does have more 20+ point games already this season than Azubuike had his entire senior year.Comment
