Calipari was pretty much a one and done type of Coach at Kentucky with a new roster year after year but it's pretty clear to me now that every Coach in America will be dealing with this moving forward with NIL and the transfer portal, it's the new norm now it seems...

I will still take my chances with Pope and the Kentucky name. At least we have someone who bleeds blue knows what it means and can actually coach.

Hopeful this roster pans out and we can do something big this year. Add Osobar and a few others I like where this is all headed..

Saunders returns to BYU. So he and Robinson who were “locks” to UK are not any longer.

Pope making a lot of contacts but not much to show for it yet. It if gets to next weekend without some major commits I think UK is going to be in some trouble.

This is starting to remind me of years ago when so called insiders pronounced can't miss signings....that didn't happen.

Trying to make your rep banking on what a young guy will choose, especially when you throw NIL we don't even know about, is about as solid as throwing darts at a big board...while youre blindfolded.

Don't think we get a cascade of commitments simply because most of these guys have other visits lined up. But it would be nice.

It really is important, and we just have to cross our fingers. Really a huge challenge for a coaching staff that has just barely got their bags unpacked and could well be living out of an set of offices or rooming with the new head man.

This next season is looking questionable at best. But I like Coach Pope and his staff! Their Love for the University is refreshing.
