I saw last night that St. Mary's guard Aidan Mahaney is going to take a visit to Kentucky. One of the best guards in the portal.

I assume all these players in the portal are doing due diligence by visiting multiple schools and fielding the best offer., I don't know.

I do think good news will come some and will have a Domino effect, at least I hope.

Still hoping Osobar ends up at Kentucky, I think you can really build around him and Williams.

Thiero is probably a 4 at the college level, just doesn't shoot the 3 ball consistently to play 3 in my opinion.

Got hurt at a bad time last year. His size and athleticism are hard to find anywhere, even in the NBA.

Think if he went through a season healthy he could be a really good fourth or fifth man in a contending team's lineup. Doesn't seem to really fit with Mark Pope's system though.

I do feel that his injury last year really set him back, thought he made a lot of strides last offseason and could've been a big contributor. I'm just talking as a fearless energy type player, not someone that necessarily shows up much in stats book but someone that plays hard on both ends of the court.

I thought before the injury he had improved about as much as any UK player I can think of. Completely changed as a player.

Thing is you're not sure whether that injury is something that'll linger or if he can overcome it. Back injuries can be tough.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but Karter Knox is following Cal to Arkansas. Not really surprising and Karter's announcement sure sounded like what we've heard for awhile now.....
"Coach Cal always said he wants to make me a pro, and I trust that he will do that for me at Arkansas".

Looks like Cal might pull Johnell Davis to Arkansas. Would be a bummer.

Would be good to see Pope and his staff come into one of these head-to-head recruiting battles and win one, just to show they have the chops to do it. They're up against a heck of a wall though given the circumstances and how desperate we are for players.

Maybe but I don't he get a combination of Davis Fland or Wagner. He's not going to able to sell Arkansas they way he did at Kentucky in my opinion, it's still Arkansas.

He may get one but not 2 or 3, just my opinion..

Agreed. If he was a knock down shooter it would change everything but he's not, just a old school get to the rim player..

It would be a win-win if Coach P could entice Thiero to return. Even if he doesn't exactly fit his system.
