Since Cal has been here I think we've been given a fair shake most every year...

...with the exception of 2011. I don't think there's any way we were a 4 seed with the way we were playing. I think they just tried to set that game against Ohio State up in the Sweet 16.

Well I don't think we've got a fair shake even when Mitch was on the committee. Especially when compared to Duke and NC.

FWIW I saw where Lunardi has Kentucky as a 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament as of now.

I just always assume the committee will try and slide Kentucky into the 4/5 seed range because they get that nice TV Sweet 16 match-up with a 1 seed (if both teams make it).

After beating UT on the road, Kentucky didn’t move an inch in the updated NET rankings.

              Pretty outrageous.

Kansas is one spot above us and got beat by 30 yesterday. Tennessee, meanwhile, didn't move. Duke loses at home and drops one spot.

My theory is that at this point of the season many of these teams are playing other high-ranked teams in the NET, so you don't get much movement at the top period. Because losing to one of those high-ranked teams doesn't punish you, everybody kind of just sticks in place and you get tiny little slides here and there.

The only thing about it is North Carolina. They beat a top 10 team on the road and went up three spots. We beat a top 5 team and didn't move. That's where it makes no sense.

Also Kentucky has now beaten 4 of the top 10 in the NET...3 of them away from home.

I really think a 2 seed is still in play. Assuming we get to Saturday in Nashville I think we're a 3.

3 seed sounds about right for this team. Hope we get a chance to face A&M again so we can avenge that loss.

Never, ever discount the 'Duke Effect'. Their loss will likely catapult them to an NCAA 1 seed with the first two rounds in Charlotte. You heard it here first .

Watching Indiana State and Drake in the championship of the MVC.

indiana St. is a national darling and might deserve to be in even if they lose...but they played the last minute and a half of this game as bad as I've ever seen. Just an epic, total collapse.

State is coached by Josh Schertz, former coach of the Lincoln Memorial University Railsplitters in my hometown.

Well, no, not my true hometown, which is on the other side of the mountain in Kentucky.

Still think 2 seed is on the table for Kentucky. Just have to get it done in Nashville.

Ratings or seeding don't matter, still have to win 6 in a row..
