That would be awesome. Don’t know whether Jesse Edwards was ever a possibility. But I do wonder which is the more coveted prospect—Edwards or Mitchell? Edwards a little taller, Mitchell a little more solidly built. Edwards apparently a better rebounder, in the past anyway.

Edwards is the more proven player I think but I saw yesterday where he was going to wait it out at WVU to see who they hire. I believe they might be hiring today.

Mitchell does fill a need Kentucky has been chasing for two solid months.

Im talking UK admissions deadlines. UK admissions for summer was probably Aug 2022. Heck, the summer semester began a month+ ago.

I only relay what I read, but I believe there is something called a visiting student approval for graduate courses. I don’t know if that’s the case in this, but it’s my understanding that such students can begin graduate studies once that’s approved by a dean of graduate studies. If he is indeed starting a graduate course, I believe that the administration of UK would operate in an informed manner regarding that. Good luck to Tre, happy to have him here and hope he finishes his graduate program.

West Virginia named one of their assistants as the interim head coach. No idea if it'll sway Mitchell but hopefully the rumors are true and he's fully enrolled/moved in at UK. If you come out of this weekend and we hear he's still weighing options I think it's safe to assume we couldn't get him.

Not my call for any of those kids thrown for a loop by Huggy. But WVU admitting they couldn’t come up with candidates who would talk to them mid-summer doesn’t seem like a positive factor in hanging onto kids in the portal.

In fact makes me think we go all 2010 and grab Mitchell AND Edwards! 🤣 Edwards did just decide to join Mitchell once just a few weeks ago.
