Also as far as being better, I’m convinced every basketball player at this level thinks he’s the greatest basketball player who ever basketballed.

My theory is that Cal has struck out in part due to the freshmen class but not because portal players don’t think they’re as good. I believe it’s more about Cal’s history and what he covets as a coach.

He's tried the age and experience thing the last two years, and we've mostly sucked. What is lost in all this is that Cal, for as much flak that he gets for being stubborn, actually did adjust his personnel methods, and found out quickly that it doesn't work for him.

Back to the drawing board. A very, very young drawing board.

Cal doesn't have it any more. And we're stuck with him. He's won 1 championship, and how long ago was that? He can't get the talent here. It's been so long that my lawn and landscaping drought worries me more than the UK basketball drought.

And we know he doesn't completely *not* want age and experience by the way he pushed for Dickinson, Oscar, and Johnson. So all of what's happening clearly isn't some scripted, blueprinted thing so that Cal can have this many freshmen. Mostly this is due to just the way the cookie has crumbled for us this off-season.

A rumor I heard was that Burks postponed his decision because of Kaluma. He is expected to commit on Monday. Hope we finally get another player even if it's a freshman.
