I still think the replacements have been difficult because of the freshmen. Very hard to lure a guy in to be a role player in this day and age.

Dickinson knew he wasn't going to be a role player but I think there was some money grabbing going on with him. The others I think likely don't want to come here and find a niche behind 5-stars.

This is why it's always been imperative for UK to have a couple of returners to field a contender.

I think they've reached out to quite a few guys at this point. I'm not sure it's necessarily been aggressive other than Dickinson and Johnson but they have been rumored to be involved with quite a few players.

Can someone clarify the rules for a college player to return to school? Are we just in a "wait for the draft" period now? IE the only deadline left now is the last date to withdraw from the draft?

They won’t even have enough players to practice against and how good can the practices be without more than 7 scholarship players😡

Well we do know from some players' social media Kentucky at least reached out.

Of course there's "reaching out" and then there's aggressive recruiting. It does look like Cal and staff have done very little of the latter except for two players.

And that is what frustrates UK fans or at least those I have talked to. Seems like the Arkansas coach goes after everyone in the portal and we have maybe pursued two??

Just read this morning someone with supposed inside information claims Reeves Oscar Livingston all returns. Who knows what to believe until it's official?

I am hoping for Oscar returns simply for his love of Kentucky basketball and how he's been treated while he's been here, plus we need him at this point, no doubt in my mind something could be worked out NIL to take care of him if money is the issue.

Reeves rumor is he's not sure how he would fit or his role if he did come back. That remains to be seen and probably 100% correct, reality is Cal will play his star freshman and won't think twice about it...

Livingston, i know nothing really. Clutch sports seems to be the driving factor but if rumor is true he was ready to leave half way through the year, not sure i even want him back though i do like his game and think he could be a absolute beast more polished this year....

This would be great if true. It would be funny and insufferable watching Cal dunk on KSR and the fans for doubting him. He would be taking victory laps all year about it. Still needs to teach O how to defend in the pick-n-roll...

Kentucky has reached out to Tennessee transfer Julian Phillips (who may keep his name in the draft) and St. John's transfer David Jones.

We should know one way or another in 6 days or so i assume. Watching these off season's drag on and on is exhausting.

Whatever happened to our overseas, seemed like at one time Cal was more involved with players overseas. Wonder if there is any hidden gems sitting out there overseas eligible willing to come play basketball for the University of Kentucky??
