I love how Gonzaga can take their 3 man and just casually let him play center for a few minutes.

      Yep.

There was some discussion on KSR this morning of the 7 foot kid out of UNC transferring out and discussion of whether he'd be an option for Kentucky. Someone called and noted we're already approaching a logjam at Center next year and if we're going back to having 2 big men on the floor then it remains to be seen how much Cal really wants to change things around. Those kinds of teams just don't win titles these days.

I think the main thing is you have to be balanced. You have to have a team where if somebody wants to take away your inside game, you hit threes. If they're hard hedging on you and doing stuff like guarding up on your chest, you have to punish them inside.

Offense/defense has to be balanced too. That's where Iowa just couldn't match up. Couldn't guard. You can be a really good offensive team and just an okay defensive team and still win, but you can't be great offensively and bad defensively. Too much risk.

If Cal brought in the kid from UNC, you'd have to think that Ware would transfer. I know he says he won't, but there would be too much of a logjam.

            Gonzaga getting a great whistle.

First possession Timme spends seven seconds in the paint, no call.

Next possession Suggs drives in with his elbow out, foul on Oklahoma.

Lol....watching the Zags. If the officials just forget things like walks and three second rules Timme is all world. Guy really is good, but like Will mentioned the officials are pretty Zag friendly.

I have to agree with both Will and Bill. That defensive foul called on Oklahoma when the Zag kid pushed off with his elbow was especially bad. I've noticed a lot of 3 second violations ignored in the tournament, and of course the walk and palm rules have been ignored for a long time. IMO, either call it as written or change the wording.

Don’t know if this has been mentioned, but Johnny Juzang has been UCLA’s leading scorer throughout the tourney thus far.

I think..could be wrong...Juzang is the Bruins leading scorer at 14+ a game.

The more that I watch this tourny, the more that I think that Ky is on the wrong track.

He scored 23, 27 respectively in first two games and then I think it was 14 or 17 Mon.?

I thought Kansas could get beat, but I did not think it would be by 30.

USC wins the championship if they play like that every game.

this year the west coast is really dominating in the tourney. They will get much love from the media and the selection committee next year. Juzang found a home, school and system that work for him. Plus a year or so of just getting older and stronger. Never hurts. Alabama does look good. I thought LSU had a solid shot till about 7 minutes gone in the second half....then all of a sudden they went AAU and looked like they forgot how to play. Gonzaga does look really good....between Covid and transfers and the settling out of one and dones, it seems we are getting better parity throughout the game. There will still be five or six you can count on being there....but not nearly as dominant in years past. Lighthouse may want to comment on this: it seems officials are pretty much letting them play.....although there have been several what in the world moments...on one of Michigans trips down the floor during their run against LSU even I saw a walk, double dribble, kicked ball and at least one foul on one possession. It ended up being a missed three pointer, but still.
