They literally asked him on TV if he thought the NCAA tournament would be canceled. He said he thought it was more likely than not that it would be canceled. I’m not taking anything from what that tweet says, it came straight from his mouth

He said it's recommended that only essential people and families of the athletes attend. How exactly are they going to enforce that? Make every fan who shows up bring a birth certificate? Have a list like a VIP club?

I live in Houston and they cancelled the remaining 2 weeks of the annual Houston Rodeo today. Panic mode has set in. It's not looking good for the tourney.

Mark Emmert says the NCAA is looking to move the Final Four out of Mercedes-Benz Stadium into a smaller venue in Atlanta. Regional sites could also be moved from the currently scheduled arenas to smaller venues in same cities. The plan is to keep sites for the 1st round as is.

That's a tough break for people who plan a year in advance for hotels, tickets, etc. It's not like the fans aren't just going to jam up the bars on Broadway now, anyway.

Ultimately, though, this is officially a pandemic, and it should be treated as such.
