BUT this thing is unusual. There are all kinds of questions to be asked as well as concerns/fears/etc.
I think there are questions to be asked of the President and also Congress. Right and left. It appears we were all way too caught unawares by this, and you can't just put the President in the firing line.
But with that said, we definitely are too hyper-partisan these days and want to distill most every situation into politics...yet there are also some people who are way too sensitive of politics and when "their guy" is criticized, they get frazzled and overly emotional and call for the conversation to be shut down.Comment

Because, like it or not, we are a country in search of leadership. And it's evident that we're not getting it sufficiently. I would make this argument about either party.Comment

Why should they play when there IS a risk to them and there families, if there is no risk why were the crowds cancelled at all. Yes these young men can PROBABLY shrug it right off BUT if infected they then carry the virus for up to 10 days to 2 weeks depending on who you listen to. Perhaps they infect someone that CAN’T shrug it off. People’s attitude about this is simply unbelievable, they blithely discount the threat to people’s lives over a blasted basketball game, really are wethat callous. But hey sit at home and watch the games in the comfort and SAFTEY of your den. If the kids or the coaches get infected or infect some old dude that has been around too long anyway, it’s no skin off your Ashtabula anyway.Comment

And if not Alex Jones, there are a hundred morons with a platform just like him that people do listen to.
And, frankly, some of the stuff you've been posting on this thread sounds very Jones-ish.Comment

This is true. But I don't need a politician or a leader, for leadership. I look to others and use my common sense to run my life. And I don't need them to be an example of who I am and the way I treat others. I hardly pay attention to anything politicians say at this point. Just live your life and be a the best person you can be.Comment

Jones is a guy who learned he could make money by stirring chaos, and that became a kind of performance art act for him. Unfortunately, it got him rich before his demons caught up with him.
Unfortunately he spawned a lot more people just like him. Many of these people run Facebook groups and so on. We talk about "fake news" a lot in this country, but that sort of thing is the real fake news. And Americans have to be more discerning than to believe some of the stuff those people say on social media and on their YouTube channels.
It's going to be a real problem going into the elections...and honestly it's likely going to be a problem through this coronavirus thing.Comment
