When the pubs in my neighborhood shutdown, THEN I'll get concerned.

Heard a disease specialist on the radio this morning saying that one of the major protocols with disease control is cancelling events.
As I said above, we see that as "hysteria" but I believe it's just a step on a checklist for people who study the spread of diseases.
At first I thought they may play these games next week with no fans. The faster it spreads--and it's obviously going to spread fast--the more I think we may actually see a cancellation. This disease guy I listened to seemed very worried about certain places in the country--notably Seattle--and said that there would be other cities where that same kind of spread will happen. Hard to imagine one of these host cities not being part of that.Comment

All it's going to take is one coach to come in contact with someone at some booster event to force them to self-quarantine the entire team.
Real chance this tournament doesn't happen.Comment

I just texted with a buddy who is a SVP at Enterprise Center here in STL. He said late last night they received word that a decision is coming in the next 2-3 days and he said he is 99% certain if the tourney is played there will be no fans present. They are preparing for no fans to be there as of now.
I asked him what he thought/heard about cancelling the entire thing and he said they made it pretty clear that they are planning to play the NCAAT unless something catastrophic happens or they are left with no other choice. He said he would put a cancellation of the entire thing at about 5-10% currently.Comment

A tourney with no fans would be incredibly entertaining.Comment

In the 16 and 8, sure. In the first two rounds all the other teams fans are rooting against us which puts us in the minority.Comment
