$200 or less is not a violation but he has to repay by donating to a charity.

Noel could still be an issue because that date is not solid. Bam may definitely be an issue.

    We still have problems.

        Nothing would be a shock.
here's the scary, or maybe I should say troubling part guys....
This is one ledger from one agent.
Lots of questions will arise everywhere.

Most sports talk people believe the final decision will be play on....and if it gets vacated next year or the next...oh, well.

Too much money in the hands of agents and the NCAA, too little money in the hands of the kids and their parents.

Bill Walton was once quoted as saying eight of ten of John Wootens titles would be nullified if the NCAA had ever given UCLA a thorough investigation---but WOOTEN was a SAINT & above investigation!!!!!!

I'm still not convinced this is it.

I may've said this in this thread, can't remember, but why would Yahoo! tease the fact that 50 programs and everybody who's a first-rounder would be affected and then come out with this?

If this is all they've got then Forde and Thamel teased a supermodel and we got a 4 with a harelip.

This is why I was holding my breath not gloating about Pitino and his programs fall from grace. Did Loui do some horendous things yep and Pitino not own up to anything, the last implication being paying players to come to Loui? Yes. But now there are implications of Blue Blood programs past and current players pay to play...bet Pitino sitting quietly with a smile on his face. And the drip-drip-drip of info has just begun. Once Duke was brought into the equation all bets are off! now analyst are pressing the issue that NCAA changes need to be made, it should be a priority...heard this all day from various college basketball analyst. Yeah ok. Had it just been us and Loui hanging out there those same analyst would be singing a diffrent tune but now that March Madness can be threatened because certain programs and players are mentioned in the Yahoo sports article we need to solve the problem like yesterday!

Sean Miller may be in some trouble...

FBI wiretaps intercepted multiple conversations between Arizona basketball coach Sean Miller and sports agent Christian Dawkins in which Miller discussed a $100,000 payment to ensure star freshman Deandre Ayton signed with the Wildcats, sources told ESPN.

Miller will be fired by the end of the weekend. Ayton done playing as well.

This is going to get crazy.

The Miller stuff was just now discovered in the wire tap records? Is it the feds or yahoo or who that's releasing little tidbits at a time making such an entertaining game of all this? Somebody needs to sell it to Hollywood and be done with it.

Cal wouldn't go near Ayton. If there's reason for optimism in all this, it's that Cal seems to have a consistent record of good judgement when it comes to shady players.

This reminds me of picking up an old piece of wood near the barn and seeing what will scurry out. If the PTB in college basketball(University Presidents?) were smart they would appoint someone with impeccable credentials, much like a Judge Laendis, to assume control and clean up the game. It is obvious the NCAA is hopelessly compromised here and incapable of policing the game. I have no doubt there are many more revelations to come. I hazard a guess that the NCAA may be finished as a governing body to college basketball before this is all over. Whois next, Pearl at Auburn, Villanova. I want to believe UKwill survive this, my read on Cal is he is too smart to be involved in paying players, Why would he need to, but the rot in college basketball is so pervasive who really knows where it will end. Very sad to me as a lifelong fan of college beaskball. Like everything else in our declining society money and lust for power has corrupted it. I hope it can be fixed but it will take men and women of. courage and goodwill AND drastic action to fix it

I guess we can officially scratch Sean Miller from the list of possible Cal replacements.
