We're not recruiting against them, which is what this relates to.Comment

The power conference programs don't need to cheat to maintain their advantage over the other programs - the advantages are inherent. If programs are violating rules en masse, it's to keep up and maintain their positions in conferences and amongst other power 5 programs.
That there are 250 other programs in smaller conferences is irrelevant.Comment

I don't doubt that this could run deep and roll UK up with everyone else, but me thinks Pat Forde has decided that if his school can't play than no one can.

Oops, check that: I just ran a search using the terms "ASM Sports" and "Kentucky" and found that Marquis Teague actually signed with Andy Miller.
Also found an article that drops the name of Matt Ramker, who was one of Andy Miller's co-agents, that mentions Kevin Knox in a general way.

Lets say a few teams knew what was going on and had more players funneled to their program, but the others were unaware that the handful of recruits coming their way were paid. Wouldn't that be cheating?
The whole reason these rules are in place are for the lesser advantaged programs.Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

That makes no sense. At all. Leave out the bottom 1/3rd of those programs and focus on the tier that's trying to get to the next level. They're all playing by the same rules. To make the blanket statement that "they's awl dewin' it, so's it ain't cheatin'", discounts the levels or degree among the top teams. Let's say one, two or six teams are getting more recruits due to shoe company money than the remainder of the top 40 teams. Does that constitute an advantage?

I've seen it mentioned a few times that Nerlens was Miller's client at one point. I suppose that could be reason to worry, but at least if he was ineligible the only thing we vacate is a first round loss in the NIT.Comment

It seems this really only eludes to the last 3 yrs too. Teague has been gone almost 6 yrs now....Comment

The documents show an operation that could create NCAA rules issues for at least 20 Division I basketball programs and more than 25 players, including some of the biggest names in the sport.
Here's what looks to be the info......
"A listing that refers to “BAM†for $12,000 is later identified in the documents as Edrice “Bam†Adebayo, who would go on to play at Kentucky in 2016-17. He did not sign with ASM. There’s a later reference to Adebayo that says he received $36,500. “Bad loan,†reads the document."
Knox is also listed as meeting with or having meals with Dawkins. Not a violation so long as he paid for the meal and received no $$.
Bam seems to be another story, if he did receive $36,500....Comment
