If it is 3 dozen schools how could we possibly not be involved?

I am sure Auburn is on the list due to 1) Chuck Person being held.for indictment and.2) Bruce Pearl refusing to make any statement to the AD or school attorney in regard to possible NCAA issues.

Pete Thamel puts the number at 50. This includes Hall of Fame coaches and, according to Thamel, at least half the schools the NCAA put on its mock brackets last weekend.

Probably undoubtable that Kentucky gets hit in that. That's the entirety of the power conferences.

Andy Miller was Nerlens Noel's agent at one point.

Yahoo nows says 50 schools could be involved including at least half of the 16 teams in the NCAA show last week.

                This could get crazy.

Yesterday, ESPN’s Mark Schlabach cited a source that said as many as 36 Division I programs could face NCAA violations for what’s come to light in the FBI’s investigation into college basketball. Now, Yahoo’s Pete Thamel is upping that number to 50, citing multiple sources that say Hall of Fame coaches, the sport’s top programs, […]

I actually hope that the breadth of this investigation has the effect of eliminating "One & Done" forever. As a 1960's follower/fan of the Wildcats, I long for those days when we could actually get to know our players and witness their maturity and athletic progress. While I'm admittedly an "ole fart", I just wish some of you younger folks could have experienced games when our players played for their university...not their agent-handlers BS. At the very least, mandate 2 years of college before going pro!

More of the players mentioned in the first wave of the investigation weren't one-and-dones.

If 50 programs are involved, the pool of players is huge. One-and-dones make up a small percentage of the sport. You're likely going to see a lot of guys who were paid to play who probably never went on to the NBA.

This seems to be widespread, systemic corruption (if it's true). Doing away with one-and-dones is only the tip of the iceberg.

Nothing is happening before March or NCAA time. The NCAA cannot decide on lunch in 3 months.

And nothing is going to happen to 50 schools. And if it does, you can bet DUKE and UNC will be excluded.

You mean the NBA should mandate that? The NCAA has no control over that.

This is concerning, to say the least.

But if it really is as widespread as Thamel (puke) is making it sound, then the NCAA will have to go light on everybody... or I would think. Then again, it's the NCAA.

The NCAA doesn't have the resources to investigate all of these when they're revealed. They're at a cross-roads as an organization.

Shoe companies and the AAU have been a pervasive cancer to the institution for years. Not sure what the NCAA does to rectify it. Widespread sanctions hit's their pocketbook and will be a lengthy process. Can't imagine they'd ever be able to carry out such investigations. Doing nothing could hit their pocketbook as well.
Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

I hope the FBI doesn't arrest anyone within our program. As far as the NCAA--who cares? Just don't accept any punishment they try to hand down. They are not a governing body of anything.

I don't care if we cheated so long as no one broke a federal law doing it............
