According to many callers into Louisville radio today, this all goes back to World Wide Wes. He apparently started AAU basketball, forged the unholy alliance of shoe companies and the sport of basketball, and I think they have him in that hotel room in Las Vegas.

According to somebody who would know on Twitter, much of this goes back to the sports agency ASM Sports. It was raided today by the FBI.

The interesting thing there is that ASM Sports was reportedly the agency that almost got Nerlens Noel ruled ineligible a few years ago.

You would think if the FBI had anything else they would've brought it out today. Not sure why they would trot out these arrests and publish the charges document...and then withhold the little fact that John Calipari might've been involved.

I guess my concern at this point is people squealing in exchange for a lighter sentence. It’s not that hard to imagine that some of these assistants are connected to other people who might have information on coaches who are currently uninvolved.

Isn't the investigation ongoing? Once some of this prison time starts getting thrown around, these guys are going to start singing.

Every coach in America has to worry about people singing, not just Cal.

If Cal's paying players then he needs to be caught and he can't coach here any longer. That isn't something anybody should be afraid of happening. Expect him to be clean (relatively; I'm of the mind that the entire game is relatively dirty all the way around) and then if he's not, don't spin it. Call for his firing. Everything should be above board.

My Papa must be spinning in his grave(graduated from UL twice, but LOVED UK). I'd love to hear the explanation as to what, precisely, Pitino and Jurich are thinking. Do these jackasses REALLY think they could, allegedly, do this? NOTHING was learned from the hooker deal?? Both of these slimeballs need to be tarred and feathered and run out of Louisville sooner rather than later. After a fair trial of course. I hope and pray they both go to prison. Pitino can take his HOF award and stuff it where the sun don't shine. Someone please tell me a dirtier, sorrier, more pathetic "university" on this planet. I'd love to hear it.

And I am thinking..."UNC scandal is still worse." University fraud rather than cheating to get players on campus.

I agree. The dumming down of our youth is evident and the colleges are a big problem why. I believe that UNC should lose their titles and wins for last 6 years now. And this new scandal may help that happen. The NCAA name is tarnished big time with this latest issue.
