UK lost Benny Snell, Jr. to ejection and Stephen Johnson left for injury. Northwestern lost star LB Paddy Fisher to ejection, Clayton Thorson to injury and another player is in concussion protocol.

It looks like Barker will start the 2nd half after Mark Stoops told UK Radio that Drew Barker has been throwing the ball very good in practice. I'm anxious to see him out there in the second half.

FWIW, I agree that this is the worst officiated game I've ever seen. Of course, the off. has squandered several opportunities and the officials can't be blamed for that.

I hope he's right. But, I simply have no confidence in either Barker or Stoops, on this decision. And, that doesn't make me feel good.

I have suspicion that Barker is Stoops "guy" because he was his first big QB commit. He's been outplayed by two QB's in the last two years. Lost his starting job to one, and hasn't ever performed since, even in blue white games.

As a fan of the team, I hope he has a super game. As a fan of the sport, I suspect inner team politics are in play with this decision. Pure speculation, but it's my gut feeling. And I hate that suspicion.

According to Kentucky Football twitter Johnson has been cleared to return for the second half. The kid is not a great passer but man he is tough as nails is a fighter. I wished the whole team had his fight and desire to play hard on every down.
