This outcome hurts right now but likely has little effect on recruiting. A blowout loss may have hurt filling the final scholarships with the quality we're wanting.

Agreed. He actually made a call trying to win the game. If we kick it there then lose in OT everyone is saying he played not to lose. It wasn't the season I was expecting, but another seven wins, top 30 class, and depth being developed. Go Cats!

Meh. The game summed up the season. Hope, crucial breakdowns, and finally just mediocrity.

Rich Brooks just put out a tweet that he though going for 2 was a good call.

I'm very disappointed with the outcome, to say the least, but what a thrilling game. Johnson beat to death, no Snell and the def. had to be exhausted, so I don't have a problem with going for the win.

I think it was an absolutely fantastic call.

This was the chance, just missed.
Lined up against a top 25 team, lost the heart of our rushing attack, and made em have heart spasms.

Pardon the French, but proud as hell of the effort tonight.

We didn't stand a chance if it went to OT. Johnson was hurt, no running game, and our defense couldn't stop the run. That was totally the right call to go for it, just not a great play choice. Johnson should've been rolled out.

I disagree, anything that gives a good defense time is bad.

Wasn’t a second guess. See my post above where I said I didn’t like it before they ran the play. It was a terrible call, that if it doesn’t work, gives you no chance to win.

Johnson may not be the most gifted player in the world, but what heart and grit. If I was in a fight, I'd love to have him on my side.

I’m upset that we lost but I would’ve gone for 2 as well, just maybe a different play call. Hats off to our staff for having the guts to do it and hanging in there without Benny. Exciting game to say the least. Benny playing and better officiating and we win that game 7 out of 10 tries.

It was the only choice Stoops had in that situation period.

The odds would have been stacked against us in OT bad!

Hopefully team continues to grow and responds positively next season! Barker did not do anything to show he has leg up in QB competition next Spring. I can see why staff worked the Juco ranks aggressively.

Stoops on Benny Snell’s ejection: "I really didn't see it at all. The official told me that Benny grabbed him and shoved him. If Benny grabbed him and shoved him, then he deserved to be ejected. I don't know."

If that official said that Benny grabbed him and then shoved him his a lair. Just watch the replay and you tell me where the shoved happened.
