I'm not going to go back and watch it to know for sure. But I thought the official offered to help him up and Snell initiated the contact by pushing him away.

See the above image to see the creeper getting touchy. Even if he didn't the ref has his hands in Snell's face pawing at him. Is he required to let the guy grab him?

The "Thou shalt not touch and official" is for their physical protection, NOT to protect their egos. If someone want's to leave a voice mail, google will show you his contact information at his day job... just sayin.

Was sitting in 4 th row right in front of Snell play The official positioned himself in Bennie in such a way that he either had to allow himself to be helped up by the official or push him out. Of the way to get up He did make contact with the official but IMO the official initiated the situation not Benny My interpretation of the word ( forcibly) would be if the player initiated deliberate contact that was not the case here Very poor game changing play. Impressions 1 An SEC football team should have a sevicable backup running back we do not. 2 Johnson is a winner. 3 Our linebackers were tentative AND got there backsides kicked all day as did our D tackles 4 Our tackling is atrocious 5 UK crowd was awesome made noise and pulled there hearts out6 Did not care for Chicago NW fans6 UK play action ineffective in 2 NFL half because we had no running back

A very bad interpretation of a rule.
can't turn back the clock and fix it.

Jload is right, remember that next time you people call for somebody to transfer. We have one Benny, UGA has 5. The scout team needs to be SEC playable, or we look slow to start against MSU.

The officiating in the first half deserves a professional review. It was atrocious on both sides of the field. They neutered both teams with nonsense decisions.

Once again this was posted on twitter so I can't vouch if this is true or not.

Adam Sparks also tweeted that Mr. Coyte said
"The player got up and grabbed my arms and pushed them away and contacted me. That’s a foul."

                    Mr. Coyte was asked "
if anything was said by Benny Snell that influenced the ejection beyond contact. He said, "No."

I am not sure who Adam Sparks is and how he was able to ask questions to the referee. I am not sure how he had access to the ref.

FWIW, I have no issues with Stoops going for two at the end. We had no business being in that game, and playing to win it and coming up short is something I can live with.

You may be right. Maybe the official did initiate the contact. Can't see the image that you mention but it doesn't matter. Snell has to be smarter than that regardless. Pushing an official in any context is asking for trouble.

Speaking of roofing businesses, that moron got in an embarrassing in-game tiff with Shaka Smart last night. Massive eye roll.

Here is a video on this page. Benny did not initiate the contact, there was no "push" other than pushing the ref's hands away. The key to the thing, as Lighthouse pointed out earlier, is that the rule says the player must "forcibly" push the official. Force implies a proactive move; Benny's was reactive.
Kentucky running back Benny Snell Jr. was ejected from the Music City Bowl after making contact with an official.
