Lol....wellllllll....I imagine Coach Stoops will view the play later and after the fumes die off we will get an icy 'no comment' on that'.

I would expect the supervisor of officials gets a call and a critique on officials though.

I.also doubt we ever hear anything of it.

I don't know when this question was asked because it was posted on twitter, but Adam Sparks asked Music City Bowl referee Chris Coyte if Benny Snell's grab & push was incidental contact. Coyte said "It was not."

Once again this was posted on twitter so I can't vouch if this is true or not.

Adam Sparks also tweeted that Mr. Coyte said
"The player got up and grabbed my arms and pushed them away and contacted me. That’s a foul."

        Mr. Coyte was asked "
if anything was said by Benny Snell that influenced the ejection beyond contact. He said, "No."

I am not sure who Adam Sparks is and how he was able to ask questions to the referee. I am not sure how he had access to the ref.

So, we disagree and live on. You have a peewee RB, an injured QB. They have a running game we can't stop, so you make a gut decision. It either works or it doesn't.

First off the officiating was a travesty. Snell getting kicked out was one of the worst calls I have ever seen my 45 years of watching sports. It ranks right there with the big Aussie getting a technical a couple of years ago that cost UK a game. Just very discouraging to see officiating like this.
I totally agree with the call in going for two.. When UK got the ball back at the 40 I thought if they score they should go for two. UK was never going to stop NW run game bad and without Snell they weren't going to score in OT like they needed. You were just prolonging the agony if you kick the extra point.
UK put up a good fight. They could have rolled over but didn't. Overall I think Stoops is doing a good job. They are mostly competitive but they still have a ways to go there. They also missed a good opportunity this year with a weak SEC. Never should have lost to UF and Ole Miss.

I think going for two was absolutely the right call. There is no doubt in my mind about that; no second guessing. Now, that having been said, i did not like the play call at all. When you are in that situation, you have to have a little something back in the playbook that you dust off and run. At the very least, you give Stephen a run-pass option.

But, if you look at the prediction thread, very few expected us to be in that position. And without Snell ... well. Cats fought hard. They showed a lot of grit, far more than in the last few games of the season. Now, it's on to next year,.

I will also add that the NW player getting kicked out was a travesty too. If you call that then you just need to out flags on the players and play the game that way. Just a truly horrible officiated e game on both sides.

I said after that call it seemed like the infamous trade off call we hear about in basketball. The referee realized he shouldn't have tossed Snell so tossed their star linebacker when he was given the chance. It wasn't even close to a target.

The season ended up a loss just as last year, but I certainly feel better about this particular game compared to that one.

i agree that was a clean hit, but the stupid targeting rule is designed to remove hitting with the crown of your helmet from the game. It’s a bad rule that needs to go. By the letter of the stupid law he broke the rule...

I don't see all the complaints about the officiating. I think Snell's ejection and the targeting call were called as the rule says they should have been. However I do agree that in both cases the rules are pretty vaguely and foolishly written.

The official INITIATED THE CONTACT. If he keeps his creeper hands off Snell there is no foul. He tossed he because he got his ego bruised.
