If Bolden is to be believed, as of yesterday, he still didn't know where he's going to attend college.

DeSoto (Desoto, Texas) center Marques Bolden won't go as far as saying that he's getting headaches behind his big decision on whether to play for Duke, Kentucky or TCU next season, but all the pondering certainly produces deep thoughts, typically at night. "I do most of…

On those recent workout videos Cal looked like he was feeling pretty good about the team.

Cal always does things for a reason. He could've gotten the news about Bolden coming on as soon as there's a spot.

Have to think Marcus Lee is going to be that spot.

I realize it's a huge decision, and he's probably torn between what he wants to do (commit to UK) and what his family wants him to do (commit to Duke), but I've just about reached the point where I don't care where he goes.

Duke's Tatum says he feels confident Bolden will pick Duke, says they talk a lot.

And that is the most news we've had on Bolden all week!

In speaking to The Montgomery Advisor, DeSoto head coach Chris Dyer said his star player is still struggling with it.

"It’ll be either blue and white or blue and white," Dyer said.

"He says, 'Coach is this a life-altering decision? This could really impact my life.' I said, 'Yeah, OK. But you’re still going to school.'"

I normally watch some all-star action but haven't at all this year. Haven't seen him play once. I still want him pretty badly though because we are suspect in the post.

One upside is he gives us a position we need.

He may not be "better" on the whole. I've watched him three times and don't see an immediate star at all. But we don't need a star. We need somebody who can anchor the post and give us consistent minutes as a body--something we dreadfully missed last season. Hopefully (if he signs with us) by March he will grow into himself as a player.

You kind of know what you're going to get with Lee unless there's a pretty substantial overhaul of his game. And even though I'd like to have Lee back, we've got at least three more guys on the roster who can play his position.

I'm probably being too optimistic, but the longer we wait, the more I believe that he's waiting for an official word on Lee.

I hope you're right. I'm beginning to think that way, too. Or at least to leave his options open until fully weighing his final choice. Not sure the chance of getting him is as lopsided as the predictions have made it out to be.
