I find that fascinating, if true. Why would he wait and wait and then suddenly decide he has no interest in Kentucky? It was clear we were in on Bolden weeks ago, and Allen stayed interested in UK. Then all of a sudden he just drops us? That's odd to me and may suggest something is happening with Bolden.

Speaking only from a gut feeling and uninformed internet chatter, I never believed we were truly in on Allen in the first place.

I hope so. Seems like it would be more than just a coincidence. Unless the Allen talk the past couple of weeks was nothing and he dropped UK a while ago.

Rivals' TJ Walker was on Twitter earlier saying that he's tired of people saying nobody knows anything w/r/t Bolden. Then goes on to suggest that "some may not have all the info."

Was clearly a shot at Matt Jones, who on his radio show today said that nobody really knows and that Bolden has changed his mind a bunch.

Kind of an interesting development. I've seen some of these writers at subscription services like Rivals try to drum up hits on the final days of a recruitment, but generally they don't feel strongly enough to call anybody out over it.

Bolden is much like Noel. Hear stuff going both ways. Hope he chooses wisely. Royal blue is the only Blue to wear Mr. Bolden.

Seems like the consensus with Bolden is that he will announce tomorrow during the Jordan game.

And some of the guys over on Rivals seem to believe he might pick UK, but again I'm always skeptical of the last-minute rumor mill. So often it's wrong.

Jerry Meyer is implying it could be a good sign there is no news on the Allen front. Some think he may be waiting out the Bolden decision and if Bolden chooses Duke then UK may be right back into the thick of things.

Gabriel tells a Rivals writer that he remains committed to Kentucky and will not be entering the draft.

Good to hear, that is a kid I can really see progressing throughout the year.

Seems to be some pro-UK news regarding Bolden today, but I'm not sure how to take it. There's always some smoke going toward the other team 24-48 hours before the announcement.

And in other news, Thon Maker has been cleared for the NBA Draft. Some of the college basketball writers have mentioned Wenyen Gabriel as a player who's in the same boat age-wise as Maker, but I can't see Gabriel making a run at the draft. Physically he's way behind for that level. Still think he can be a contributor right away at UK.

Kind of interesting article, I take it with a grain of salt, but it is interesting to see where these kids "almost" went. Looks like with Giles and Tatum we weren't even their second choice.

When asked what will be the determining factor, Bolden said, “Playing style, relationships and how important I’m going to be to their team instead of just being another guy. …

“I see myself fitting in perfectly with both teams. I try not to look at the other guys coming in. There’s going to be competition everywhere. You’re not going to be the only guy there. I know I’m going to get better wherever I go, but the way Kentucky develops their guys is unbelievable and then the way Duke guys come out and are so successful. They’re both positives.”

One last chance for the UK boys to talk Bolden into joining them, him and Bam would sure be a good combo together in my opinion.
